My Summer Reading was Life Affirming

This summer, I enjoyed books about kind characters who showed us how to appreciate life, despite our circumstances and other good but lost characters who needed to be reminded that life is worth the fight. What an uplifting summer!

My summer reads included:

  • Amor Towles’ A Gentleman in Moscow
  • Matt Haig’s The Midnight Library
  • Mitch Albom’s The Time Keeper
  • James McBride’s Heaven and Earth’s Grocery Store

Darker Days Lead to Heavier Subjects

As the days shorten, I feel my literary appetite changing. My September reading list seems to be centering around tragedy, betrayal, and the general disregard for civil behavior. Oh boy!
