I highly recommend None of This is True by Lisa Jewell if you're in the mood for an intriguing mystery. Set in a middle-class area of London, this page-turner of a thriller was hard to put down. The storytelling was enhanced by the stylistic use of news clips, interviews, and scenes from a Netflix documentary.

Hi, I’m Your Birthday Twin

Josie Faire, desperate to shake up her mundane life, requests something different for her 45th birthday from her husband. Instead of ordering in, she wants to go to a hip gastropub that intimidates her each time she passes it, with its hip crowd, chalkboard menu, and food names she doesn’t understand. Josie wants a new and improved life.

As she and her much older husband wait to be served, Josie notices a beautiful, well-heeled party celebrating the 45th birthday of a woman who seems to be the center of her universe. Happy friends, loving family, and an abundance of gifts surround Alix Summers —the name written on the lovely birthday card the woman is reading.

Alix Summers has the life Josie feels destined to live.
